Making Legendary Homes
Feel Like Home

Interior design is woven into every Bigfoot Builders home —

guiding each decision with intention, clarity, and craftsmanship.

The Bigfoot
Design
Philosophy

Design at Bigfoot Builders is not an add-on — it’s an integral part of how we build.

From the earliest conversations, interior design is woven into the design-build process, guiding decisions that affect not just how a home looks, but how it functions, feels, and endures over time.

Aesthetics

timeless, thoughtful, and
personal

Function

spaces that support real life and daily routines

Budget

clear, informed decisions without surprises

Buildability

designs that translate seamlessly from concept to construction

Building in the High Country brings its own considerations, and we design with that context in mind. Light, materials, climate, and longevity all inform our approach, ensuring each home feels rooted in its environment and built to stand the test of time. For us, design means considering how a home looks, lives, and lasts — inside and out.

Discovery & Vision

Let's Get to Know Each Other!
(Explorer Services)

At our first few meetings, we take the time to understand your goals and personal style. You'll have a chance to get to know our work by browsing our portfolio and asking questions. Your Bigfoot team will ask about your budget and financing, timeline, and what features you'd like to have in your new home. If you have inspiration photos or home plans you love, please bring them with you. This helps us determine whether to move forward with our explorers services package or the full custom-build project.

Gather Inspiration

This is where we get to know you and how you live. We talk through your lifestyle, daily routines, and what matters most in your home, while gathering inspiration through images, ideas, and examples that resonate with you. Whether you come in with a full interest board or just a feeling you're drawn to, we help translate that into a clear design direction. This step sets the foundation for a home that feels personal and intentional.

Explore the Possibilities

With a design direction in place, we start exploring options. We walk you through materials, finishes, layouts, and concepts that support your style and the way your home will be built. Throughout this phase, we’re mindful of budget and constructability, helping you understand trade-offs alternatives without feeling boxed in. Our goal is to open up possibilities while keeping decisions grounded and realistic.

Make Confident Selections

Once options are refined, we guide you toward final selections with clarity and support. You'll make decisions knowing how each choice fits your overall design, budget, and build timeline. We document selections clearly, coordinate with the build team, and stay available for questions along the way. By the end of this step, you can feel confident that everything has been thoughtfully chosen and ready to move forward.

Conquering the Wild,
One Legendary Home at a Time

Moriah Spicer  - Designer

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Moriah discovered her

love for home design at an early age, often sketching floor

plans and imagining how people live within a space. She

studied Interior Architecture at Illinois State University and

spent seven years working in mechanical contracting and

Building Information Modeling. She brings a practical,

problem-solving mindset to every project, helping bridge the

gap between design intent and construction.

Her design approach is rooted in lifestyle and functionality

first. She is a thoughtful listener who enjoys asking the right

questions to understand what truly matters to her clients —

from daily routines to must-have features. Once function is

established, she helps layer in personal style, guiding

decisions through visualization, problem-solving, and clear

communication.
